BUTTERSCOTCH- OATMEAL COOKIES

1 c. margarine                                      ½ t. salt
1 c. sugar                                             ½ t. baking powder
1 c. brown sugar                                  1 c. coconut
2 eggs                                                  1 c. rolled oats
1 t. vanilla                                           2 c. Wheaties
2 c. flour                                              1 c. chopped nuts
1 t. baking soda                                   1 six-oz. pkg. butterscotch bits

Cream margarine and sugars, add eggs and vanilla and beat well.  Stir flour with baking soda, salt and baking powder.  Add to creamed mixture and beat well.  Stir in coconut, oats, Wheaties, nuts and bits.  Bake on greased cookie sheets at 325 for 15 min. Makes 5 to 6 dozen cookies.
