Ingredients:
3 C. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
3/4 C. shortening
3/4 C. water
Directions:
1. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in shortening until crumbly. Add up to 3/4 C. water until the ingredients look moist.
2. Knead the dough with your hand or a large fork, cleaning the sides of the bowl. Cover and let sit for about an hour.
3. Divide dough into 10-12 balls. Roll each with a rolling pin on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness.
4. Place each tortilla on a medium hot griddle. Cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side until tortilla does not look doughy.
