SALTINE TOFFEE COOKIES

SALTINE TOFFEE COOKIES

1 sleeve Zesta saltines
1 cup butter
1 cup dark brown sugar
2 cups semisweet or milk chocolate chips
3/4 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Line a pan with aluminum foil (10x15 jelly roll pan is perfect). Let the foil hang over the ends of the pan. It is easier to get the cookies out when they cool.
In a saucepan, combine sugar and butter. Bring to a boil, and boil 3 minutes (exactly). Immediately pour over saltines and spread to cover crackers completely.
Bake at 400 degrees for 5-6 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top. Let sit for 5 minutes. Spread chocolate and top with chopped nuts. Cool completely and cut.
