Southern Pecan Pie

Ingredients:
1 C sugar
3/4 C light corn syrup
1/2 C butter (1 stick)
3 eggs, beaten
1 3/4 C pecans
1 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp salt

Directions:
Blend sugar, syrup, and butter in saucepan.  Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil.  Blend hot mixture slowly into beaten eggs.  Stir in pecans, vanilla and salt.  Pour into pie shell.  Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
