Bread Pudding with Vanilla Custard

BREAD PUDDING
Ingredients:
16 oz. white bread, cubed
2 eggs
1 C sugar
1 C milk
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/3 C raisins, optional
Directions:
Mix ingredients and pour over the bread that is in a  9x13" greased dish.  Bake at 350 degrees until the top is brown (one hour or longer).  Serve with Vanilla Custard.

VANILLA CUSTARD
Ingredients:
1/4 C butter
1/3 C brown sugar, packed
2 T cornstarch
2 C Half and Half (1 pt)
1/4 C light corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla
Directions:
Melt butter until sizzling.  Stir in brown sugar and conrstarch.  Stir in all remaining ingredients.  Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until thickened (6-8 minutes).  Serve over bread pudding.
